A whole note is worth 4 beats. Count evenly to four then play the next note
2. Finger markers
Note: the numbers either beside or under the notes are finger markers. These markers indicate what fingers to use. Do not mistake these markers for the frets to play the notes on. Sometimes they are the same but sometimes they are not.
