1. Alternate your fingers

   Always alternate your fingers. It might feel awkward at the beginning but over time it will become natural. This will increase your speed and smoothness in your playing.

2. Check your techinique

  Alternate your I and M fingers, and make sure that no other fingers or part of you hand in touching the guitar.
