1. Count
Alway count while you play. If you begin counting when you are just learning it will become a natural part of you playing.
2. Slow
Go slow and even. You will be able to pick up your tempo later.
3. Smooth with good techinique
Make sure you use good techinique. All notes need to ring, do not mute them.
