1. Bass Notes

Be aware of the length of the Bass Notes. Keep your fingers down to let the bass notes ring. Use your remaining fingers to play the melodies.

2. Tempo

Go slow and steady at first. Use the metronome on the webpage at a slow setting first then speed it up as you get more comfortable.

3. Fingerings

Be aware of all right and left hand fingerings. Take your time with measure four and make sure you get the right hand fingering correct. It will make the piece smoother.

4. Pick-up notes

Watch for the pick up notes beginning on beat 4 of the first bar.

5. Repeat Signs

In the Aria watch the repeat signs. Half way through the piece you will see a backward repeat sign, this indicates that you go the beginning of the piece. On the second time through you do not pay attention to the repeat sign, but play through to the end of the piece. When you get to the end you will see another backward sign. This sign indicates, to repeat to the forward repeat sign half way through the piece.

Listen to the recording and follow the music for understanding.

5. Right Hand

Practice the melodies using both rest stroke and free stroke.
