Lessons and learning outcomes for E minor Waltz

1. Watch the Time Signature

E Minor Waltz is in 3/4 time so there are 3 beats per bar.

2. Key Signature

Note there is a F sharp in the key signature. This means that all F's are F#s. Remember it does not matter where the F is located on the staff it is an F#.

3.  Barre

In Measure 7 there is a roman numeral II. This is an indication of a barre. Put your first finger across all the strings. Watch the video for a visual.

4.  D.C. al Fine

D.C. al Fine means "Da Capo al Fine" or return to the top of the piece, then play to the Fine.

5.  Fine

Fine means finish or the end of the piece
