It is very important to be able to string your guitar.

Chances are, you have just purchased your guitar and there are old or cheap strings on the guitar. Changing a guitar string is a simple process.

1. Make sure you have purchased classical guitar strings (nylon strings). Never put any
other type of string on a classical guitar, it could damage the guitar.

2. Only take off one string at a time. Replace the string that you have taken off then take off
the next string.

3. Loosen off the string that you would like to take off. When the string is loose take
some scissors and cut the string. It does not matter where you cut the string.

4. Take the cut old string off the guitar.

5. Always attach a string at the bridge 1st, then attach at the headstock.

Attaching the string at the bridge

1. Take your new string and find the hole in the bridge where the string goes. Put the
string through the hole in the bridge.

2. Once the string is through the hole in the bridge, bring the end up and around to the
rest of the string.

3. Give yourself an inch or so of extra string and bend it around the part of the string that
has not gone through the bridge.

4. Wrap the string around itself

5. Wrap the string within itself 3 times minimum.

6. Pull tight.
